Attention: Thralldom has regrouped in 2016! The band comments: "We have started with a clean slate and it is very much a 3.0 version of the band. The first era was our isolated demo days in the last 90's. The second era was the experimental "black metal" records we released in the 00's. And now, ten years later, we enter a new phase with a revitalized sound and approach. We are excited to get 'Time Will Bend Into Horror0' transmitted into the atmosphere!"
As both Diktatura and Vlast were sold, N.K.V.D. decided to unit them on the same CD, with a remastered version of Vlast.
58 mn of Industrial Black Metal 4 panel digipak, matt varnish, sealed At long last, Norwegian black metal vanguard TORTORUM return with Rotten. Dead. Forgotten. It's been two years since the release of the band's critically acclaimed second album, Katabasis, and in that time, ubiquitous drummer Dirge Rep has amicably departed TORTORUM's ranks. Bloodied but unbowed, the trio saw fit to record an all-new mini-album, bearing the ominous title Rotten. Dead. Forgotten. This title is prescient, and wholly descriptive of the six-track record's contents. Moving at a slower, more methodical pace, Rotten. Dead. Forgotten. stomps forward with a hideous energy that literally feels DEAD. Like a reanimated corpse or malignant specter, the TORTORUM of Rotten. Dead. Forgotten. has turned a new and no-less-harrowing page here, largely leaving behind the orthodox speed of their massive first two albums and striking upon largely unexplored terrain where space and shade are blackened to a crisp and are patiently pushed forward with a palatable sense of maturity. Then again, the fire of old does occasionally ignite across the mini-album's six, comparably more stretched-out tracks, suggesting that the future is wide open for this equally surprising/dependable band. And like always, TORTORUM are no strangers to the stage, and will soon be defiling them across Europe with a sound that's truly Rotten. Dead. Forgotten.(N.T.B.)
'Vedic metal' pioneers since the early '90s return this year with their most ambitious album till date. Having worked hard over the years to forge a unique sound that's a sublime blend of Indian classical music rooted in ancient spirituality and extreme metal encompassing death metal, black metal and thrash metal music, Rudra have influenced many and more importantly, have set standards. Unheralded overlords of Asia, Rudra have a cult following that remains mysteriously loyal, as they hone a sound that's probably unparalleled. Their latest album, again founded on the principles of Vedic spirituality, extemporizes on the conventional extreme metal template and achieves hitherto unknown sonic effects. Indian classical instruments such as sitar, flute, tablas (Indian percussion) and even a didgeridoo are used for this album, along with female vocals and ritualistic chanting to emanate a genuine, spiritual expression. 'Enemy of Duality' is destined to be a landmark from the Orient, one that doesn't abandon the ancient roots and blends the traditional sounds and philosophies seamlessly into music that's at once challenging and hypnotic.
Official Release Date - December 17th, 2016 SHADOW KINGDOM RECORDS is proud to present a long-overdue demos & rarities collection from thee immortal HOUR OF 13, appropriately titled Salt The Dead: The Rare And Unreleased. Across this massive collection, one will find HOUR OF 13's very first steps into doom metal godhood, alongside alternate recordings of fan favorites.
Listening to Salt The Dead: The Rare And Unreleased, it becomes quickly apparent that something truly special was being birthed upon the band's first recorded notes. The first half of this collection - or sides A and B of the double-vinyl edition - comprise demos recorded in 2007. The first three songs were the very first written by HOUR OF 13 in November 2006 and then recorded not long after; the next five songs were recorded nearly a year later. Together, these eight songs would form the foundation of the band's now-classic debut album, released by SHADOW KINGDOM as Hour of 13. Although recognizably HOUR OF 13, these early demo versions of the debut album's songs have slightly different arrangements while others have slightly different vocals, but every single bit of the band's trademark atmosphere is plentiful and poignant. Verily, this is the sound of lingering incense and burning blood. During the second half of Salt The Dead: The Rare And Unreleased, we find a number of alternate recordings, some with special circumstances surrounding them. On side C is an alternate full-band recording of "Call To Satan," recorded at the HOUR OF 13 rehearsal spot, alongside an alternate version of "The Rites of Samhain" with fully correct lyric placement and vocals by main man Chad Davis. But most poignantly is the song "Upon Black Wings We Die," written and recorded within a matter of a few hours upon hearing the news of the passing of Jason McCash from The Gates Of Slumber. On side D are the complete Candlemass Eve Recordings, the second rehearsal with Beaten Back to Pure's Ben Hogg on vocals: all recorded in a single session on a Zoom H2 microphone in the room, captured here with a newfound energy and stirring vocal performance. Feel the ancient atmosphere of early metal rehearsal rooms of yesteryear here! As founder Chad Davis states in the liner notes to Salt The Dead: The Rare And Unreleased, "This album documents the times and tribulations that had shrouded HOUR OF 13, the early days of rejuvenation along with the dark days of contemplation, and serve as a testament of an entity capable of withstanding any obstacle in its path." So far, the definitive HOUR OF 13 collection - and the cultest. Praise Him and enter the abyss! More news regarding the track listing and album cover will be revealed soon! HOUR OF 13 are currently working on a new album for 2017! More news will follow soon about that as well.
Always on the lookout for the best, most maverick bands in the black metal underground, W.T.C. PRODUCTIONS is proud to release the debut mini-album of ADAESTUO, Tacent Semitae. A swirling breath of otherworldly energies, Tacent Semitae is a startling and profound introduction to this otherwise-unknown band. ADAESTUO was formed as a covenant between three wandering souls at the unhallowed crossroads where the darkest elements of ambient, black metal, and spiritual praxis conjoin. Being a series of audial sigils cast by VJS and P.E.Packain and led in evocation by Hekte Zaren, ADAESTUO transcends the modern homogeny found among the lower caste of musical initiates. This work aims at the destruction of the collective black metal ego: heralding the coming of the forces of darkness from rifts in the thin veil between the flesh and The Otherside. Across the four tracks and 21 minutes of Tacent Semitae, expect nothing but piercing hymns and hallowed, sinister spells from this coven, and altogether anticipate ADAESTUO to reveal the abyss within.
ADAESTUO has entrusted the manifestation of these malevolent intentions to the strong and honorable mortals at WORLD TERROR COMMITTEE, so that they may cloak this world in a burial shroud. Abandon all hope, forge thy fears as weapons, and ye shall be granted passage here... Format: MCD, MLP (at a later point), Digital Tracklist 1. The Abyss (Otchlan) 2. Cicatrices Plexae (Scar-Braids) 3. Destroyer of Constellations (Niszczycielem Gwiazdozbiorow) 4. Tacent Semitae (Silent Paths) Lineup Hekte Zaren - Voices of the Damned VJS/P.E.
