December can't come fast enough for the legions of SARKOM fans who have been waiting for the release of the band's fourth full-length album "Anti-Cosmic Art". Having previously given us a taste from the album, Dark Essence Records is now ready with a second track to whet everyone's appetite further.
Veterans of the Norwegian Black Metal scene, SARKOM are known for their crushingly dark sound, and with the brutally catchy "Anti-Cosmic Art" album, the band produce more of the same, but this time they also show that far from being afraid to step out of their comfort zone, they happily embrace the idea and take their listeners on a journey that ranges from Old School Black Metal through to more experimental tracks. Even the choice of guest artists indicates how versatile the band's music can be, with appearances from the likes of SHINING's Peter Huss, Ronni Le Tekrø from TNT and ROQUEFIRE and TROLLFEST's Sagstad who all contribute to give "Anti-Cosmic Art" a guitar-driven sound, as well as ALFAHANNE frontman Pehr Skjoldhammer whose distinctive vocals add a completely different dimension to the track "Come, dear Cancer". Below you can listen to the previous song unveiled by the band, "Mind-abscess".
Tracklisting for "Anti-Cosmic Art" is as follows:
1.Previous associates, now as targets for the gun 2.Mind-abscess 3.Ruiners of our family tree 4.Seen through the eyes of a paedophile priest 5.Come, dear cancer 6.Black metal necrophilia 7.Sodomy and lust (Sodom cover) www.sarkomsect.com www.darkessencerecords.no

Old Temple will release a really legendary album once again. This time the first official re-release of an album after more than two decades. DOMAIN, earlier known as Pandemonium, after problems with the name in 1995 releases ironically named debut Pandemonium. These ten songs are a great continuation of the musical path that was chosen in 1989 by the band; Death / Black metal forged in the dark, raw sound which until today has lost no strength. Dark, profane, demonic lyrics beating the concept of religion. A must have for all fans of old-school metal!
The album will be released on gold CD in a standard case. All copies hand numbered. www.oldtemple.com

Italy's industrial/electronic metal masters ABORYM premiere first new song from their upcoming album 'Shifting.negative' in the form of a music video. The band's 7th studio album is set to be released on January 25th via Agonia Records.
The follow up to 2013 "Dirty" was recorded with an all new line-up consisting of founder Fabban, multi-instrumentalist Dan V, bassist & guitarist RG Narchost, guitarist Davide Tiso (ex-Ephel Duath, Gospel Of The Witches), keyboardist Stefano Angiulli and several guest musicians (including Sin Quirin of Ministry fame). 'Shifting.negative' was mixed and mastered by Grammy-award winning Marc Urselli at Eastside Sound Studios (Lou Reed, John Zorn, Mike Patton) in New York, who commented on the album: "I've known Fabban and Aborym for over 20 years so it's nice that we finally get to work together on an Aborym record and this is the most forward thinking of all the Aborym records for sure! It's definitely a break from the past and a step forward into the future of a band that has never stood still and never wanted to sound like everything else that's out there. They continue to evolve with every record! This is a great sounding album that blends all of their metal and industrial influences and represents a new milestone in the history of such a well respected and established group. I'm excited to be a part of it". Guido Elmi (Vasco Rossi's legendary producer & manager) is responsible for the album's post-production. Fabban commented: "We are working with a real professional, a true legend, probably our biggest fan and a great friend. Please join us in welcoming mr. Guido Elmi. No need to say Guido is Vasco Rossi’s producer & manager over the past 30 years and he has worked as producer with dozens of artists including Stadio, Skiantos, Gaznevada, Steve Rogers Band, Clara & Black Cars and many others. Today he's also a singer and songwriter". 'Shifting.negative' was engineered by Emiliano Natali (Fear No One Studios), Teo Pizzolante (Braingasm Lab) and Luciano Lamanna (Subsound Studios). Its cover artwork was made by French artist David Cragne (Asymetric Entity). The list of guest musicians involved in the creation of the album includes: guitarist Sin Quirin (Ministry), Ricktor (The Electric Hellfire Club), Pier Marzano (Koza Noztra), drummer Andrea Mazzucca, vocalists Victor Love (Dope Stars Inc., Victor Love), Cain Cressall (The Amenta) and Nicola Favaretto N-ikonoclast. Fed up with your boredom, your conformism, your deceitfulness hidden behind your pitiful fan-attitude. You thought you could belive in them, but they don’t believe in you at all. Whatever. Diapsiquir put an end to the folklore as much as they grab its very essence, they fuck the light as much as they embrace it. Diapsiquir is Diapsiquir and almost no one understood what it is about, even yours truly, trying to lay down these words. No need to lie anymore…
Diapsiquir is dead. Diapsiquir is alive. A bit closer to God, and farther from Satan. Or maybe these two ones are just the two sides of the same coin, laughing while strangling each other, false brother and false foes. Diapsiquir is dead, Diapsiquir is alive. Straighten up to 180°, erected and harded-on, an authentic but unorthodox Lazarus. Too authentic, for us, for everything. Diapsiquir is dead and 180° is alive, it quivers, eructates, sings and doesn’t like salute you. It doesn’t like you, did you know ? And you can bet you won’t like it too, not if you care about your beloved little metal, this inocuous infringment. The bastards are back and well ! They squat in your unconscious, the mental backyard you don’t want to tread. What is inhibited ends up revolting. Face to the dead-end, both escape or fight are at hand. No more folklore, no more disguise, tear down the mask, the existential fear on your back. 180° to burn you, 180° to turn you uspide down, 180° to piss you but in the end you’ll love it nonetheless. Stockholm syndrom pays. Bastards forever, with new clothes but still the same, without shame. Don’t you like variety? Diapsiquir is dead tonight… all hail Diapsiquir ! Languid, Putrid and Decomposed Death Doom from Spain.
Limited to 200 copies Pro Tapes / Pro Cover www.caligarirecords.com Nidingr will release their fourth album in 2017, titled The High Heat Licks Against Heaven, an album drenched in Norse mythology, and names from the younger and older Edda appears throughout in the lyrics. The album drifts in the middle of black and death metal, but with the Norse theme it creates a unique and fresh breath of sound. To put it mildly, this is a brutal and honest metal record.
The album was being worked on intensely for two years, where they took a deep dive into the old English translations of the older and younger Edda from the 18th century. They are continuously striving towards authenticity and shapes the music partly around the theme and the text material, which in broad terms talks about the great and classical themes like death, afterlife, war and the many majestic personalities from the mythology. The band states that in a thematic world like this they have chosen to take a more theatric approach to their material. In addition it is relevant to mention that they wrote the text material and music separately and sculpted them together in the meeting of those two afterwards. The songs are characterized by heavy riffs in a glassy but dirty sound, with at times some melodies with melancholic atmospheres, steady tempi with an almost marching undertone. The vocals hangs on in the top of the sound wall with a drive, power and quality one rarely hears. With Cpt.Estrella Grasa on vocals, Destructhor (Myrkskog, Morbid Angel) and Teloch on guitars (Gorgoroth, God Seed, Mayhem, 1349), Myrvoll on drums and SIR (Gaahls Wyrd, Gorgoroth, God Seed) on bass, the music is shaped to a monolith of an album in an unmitigated an authentic style. |
