IRON BONEHEAD PRODUCTIONS is proud to present HORN's brand-new seventh album, Turm am Hang, on vinyl LP. Since 2002, this one-man German entity has been steadily perfecting a classicist, almost-medieval style of black metal bound to pagan roots. Staunchly solitary to the present day, the initial drive behind HORN was to create nature-themed black metal, focusing on the relation of man and nature in a regional context. The band's old material, being mainly concerned with detailed descriptions of nature and incorporating rather upbeat, folk-influenced riffing, has made way for more sinister themes and soundscapes over the years. What has remained throughout the course of seven studio albums is the distinct "HORN sound," featuring siren-like lead guitars, classic black metal-styled vocals as well as clean chorals, and a serious folkloristic approach far from the jolly drunken Viking tunes celebrated these days. 

Now, at the beginning of 2017, we have HORN's seventh studio album, Turm Am Hang. This record was jointly inspired by the 17th century German folk song "Es ist ein Schnitter," lansquenets, wars of the past, tribalism, and the spirit of masculinity. Stylistically, the songs seamlessly blend in with the preceding (and widely celebrated) Feldpost material, with clean and harsh vocals taking turns in conveying these nine mid-tempo songs solely performed in German. The artwork, layout, and visual concept was carried by Timon Kokott, perfectly visualizing the album's combined musical and lyrical themes. Altogether, HORN's Turm am Hang breathes fresh air into the ancient spirit of the '90s, and likewise further cements IRON BONEHEAD's grounding in (and continued support of) black metal's distant past, whether it be NOCTERNITY, KAWIR, BLOOD TYRANT, ITHAQUA, or the almighty MOONBLOOD.

INVICTUS PRODUCTIONS is proud to present ULULATUM TOLLUNT's debut mini-album, Quantum Noose of Usurpation. A relatively new entity formed in 2015 and hailing from various parts of the United States, ULULATUM TOLLUNT originally self-released an initial pressing of Quantum Noose of Usurpation, under a different title and in extremely limited quantities, but it exhibited a shockingly mature sound - and one so shockingly severe, INVICTUS had no other recourse but to unleash Quantum Noose of Usurpation upon the international metal underground. 

The moniker of ULULALTUM TOLLUNT translates from Latin to "war cry," which is fitting for the primeval power loosed by Quantum Noose of Usurpation: it is eldritch energy that elevates and destroys, wholly and austerely existing at the axis between chaos and order. Anchored by a hulking physicality and slimy density and freely moving between martial thrust and molten churn, the power-trio could be conveniently classed as "war metal," but such an over-simplification does a disservice to the deeply metaphorical lyricism which informs the band's entire aesthetic. The convolutions and evolutions of power, both in human and inhuman realms, and from the quantum to the worldly to the cosmic in scale - these are the scales of balance upon which ULULATUM TOLLUNT weigh. It is POWER, wielded and witnessed, forlorn and fearful. 

The new cover art, executed by comrade J. Estes, vividly demonstrates ULULATUM TOLLUNT's world-eating ways and some of the symbolism within Quantum Noose of Usurpation. There is a theory in physics that all is composed of a fabric woven of finite loops - our quantum nooses. An associated notion declares the multiplicity and cyclicality of universes, that all is created from destruction. The wormhole swallowing the cover depicts a fitting mechanism, a cosmic passageway wrought of a star's aeonic demise, a portal of usurpation. At its side, the morningstars of fire and steel, of thought and brawn, are the armaments of such usurpations on a human scale. Like the record's concept, ULULATUM TOLLUNT manifest both cyclicality and the forward march - both the overarching ebb-and-flow flux of power and its infinite meteoric advancements. There, the trio themselves bristle with both barbarity and esotericism, an unyielding staunchness met with perpetual transformation. 

Indeed, ULULATUM TOLLUNT are just beginning, and Quantum Noose of Usurpation comprises 20 minutes of cosmic crush and primeval pulse. Their overwhelming enormity and in-the-red diabolism fondly recall that of pivotal INVICTUS cult Diocletian, but with a gnarled nous all their own. Rise by order of the triumph continuum!

March 20th is the date for the international release of Acrimonious' highly anticipated third album, Eleven Dragons. A work of unimaginable might, of enduring and unyielding spiritual will, Eleven Dragons is the sound of serious and thoroughly occult BLACK/DEATH metal given shape and successive flight. It is the many-splendored brilliance of eternal (and eternally damning) illumination, spread across 11 hymns in an engrossing 'n' engaging 67 minutes. It is the promise - and subsequent sonic manifestation, at their respective times of study - of Acrimonious' celebrated first two albums taken yet further into the hungry, ever-beckoning void. It is METAL, hailing the mysteries of death and draped in the blackest of shadows, unfurled full fathom across the ecstasy of sin and Satan. It is verily Eleven Dragons, at the threshold of The Beyond. 

The volcanic eruption that churned Acrimonious out of the depths commenced in 2002. It was during a period that the underground was receiving an injection of creativity again after a long period of stagnation and aimless exploration, which had led to the dilution of the adversarial Light with elements hostile to the eyes of the Destroyer, within the extreme metal scene, which was hungry for madness and danger again. 

Beginning the journey as a homage to the ancient and morbid ways of the '80s and '90s Satanic metal, the many-tentacled abomination of Acrimonious was nourished by the prana of old Samael, Sarcofago, old Mayhem, Tormentor, Nifelheim, and Dissection amongst others, while simultaneously sharpening the blades and perfecting the skills of the craft. It would later on manifest the Perdition Gospel mini-album, its first concrete attempt to glorify at the temple of Satan. Then the Broken Bonds of Balance 7" EP followed the next year. By that time, a change in members was necessary and inevitable a step, as Funus and Nuctemeron left the band, leaving only Cain Letifer as the sole member to contemplate upon the monuments of the trinity of Lucifer, Lilith, and Cain, thus giving birth to the first full-length album, Purulence. 

Even though the band had deliberately kept a very low profile during the years, the Beast was fanning the flames constantly in the shadows, aiming at a reconstruction of identity which would lead further into the Abyss of formlessness, darkness, and uncertainty through majestic Art. So it happened that, in the year 2011, Semjaza of Thy Darkened Shade entered the ranks of Acrimonious as a second guitar-player and bassist, and also the addition of C.Docre on drums. Thus, the band proceeded to record the second full-length album, which was released at the end of 2012 under the name of Sunyata. 

Many moons passed and many sparks illumined the midnight sky, by the striking of the hammer of will on the anvil of tribulation. Much blood watered the fertile soil that led to the crucifixion of matter with Spirit, and so it came to pass that the third sonic invocation was conceived, namely Eleven Dragons, glorifying the forces that bring All back into the primordial nothingness. Acrimonious is honored to announce its collaboration with World Terror Committee for the release of the third horror of nameless Void on CD and LP. This is the pinnacle of Glory and Thunderous Power, the crowning achievement, an echo of ecstatic laughter in a backward dance of malicious Fury that venerates the Eleven Flames of the One without Names.
