Iron Bonehead Productions, in conspiracy with Amor Fati Productions, is proud to present Necroblood's debut album, 'Collapse of the Human Race'. The album will drop March 31st, 2017.
Begun in 2010, Necroblood consists of still-fresh stalwarts of the growing French death metal scene, and the band has deep roots in the country's black metal underground. Taken together - the gutted grind of death metal, the blasphemous aura of black metal - "Collapse of the Human Race" thus becomes a diseased 'n' disgusting fist in the face of all that is pure and pristine. One of the founding fathers of Finnish black metal, formed in 1990, have finally forged a long-anticipated full-length album. 12 years since their last release was out, which many thought to be their last, BARATHRUM strikes again, setting the new beginning for this primordial beast. The demonic pack led by the one and only DEMONOS SOVA have forged 8 brand new incantations, going all the way back to the roots to make their phoenix-like rebirth. The album was recorded fully on the analog equipment in BLACKVOX STUDIO, like the Barathrum’s first albums in 1990s were made, bringing back the trademark raw, untamed demonic energy. Same doomish vibrations and rocking black metal sounds which made the name for BARATHRUM in times when INFERNAL and LEGIONS OF PERKELE albums were made, will be brough back in a zealous whirlwind of FANATIKO. Expect nothing but old school black metal sound mixed with hellfire and demonic ichor, which will be spilled out by now-6-piece orchestra. As on the earlier works, trademark BARATHRUM sound is executed with 2 bass guitars, which was almost unheared back in the days – but today on FANATIKO BARATHRUM is even more dangerous and blasphemous than ever! The album comes out as jewelcase CD and LP, and the new merchandise will also be available for old worshippers of BARATHRUM to witness the triumphant return of the beast!
The band will make a rare live appearance on the ORATION Festival in Reykjavik on the 18th of February.
The CD and DLP will be released on the 24th of March. French black metal newcomers VI, featuring current and ex-members of Aosoth and Antaeus, will re-release their debut EP, 'De Praestigiis Daemonum', on March 31st via Agonia Records. The re-release, re-mastered by M. (Mgła) in No Solace Studio, will include a new cover made by Adrian Baxter.
INVRI commented on the re-release: "This first offering always meant a lot to us. This is where it all started. We keep listening to it wondering how we managed to release such a beast. 10 years later, we still dont get it. All went so fast, from the composing to the unexpected acclamation. It took years to compose something else, it was so intense and natural that we feared we could never do better. Re-releasing this EP is the opportunity for all of you to put your hands on it, and it was a good opportunity for us to refresh that old demon we cherish so much". Working with Adrian Baxter, Kontamination Design and No Solace was such an experience. One more time with this release, everything went fast. All this worldwide team managed to provide a brand new face in only few days and we feel honored to see how much efforts have been put into this release while, few years ago, only a bunch of maniacs believed in us. We would like to thanks the Agonia team, for being a part of those. This release will now never die and will rise, and will shine upon us for the next decade and more to come. Ceux qui moururent dans la douleur ne se relèveront pas dans la joie".
This album mark the milestone of Northern Heritage label, being catalogue number NH-100. For some years, there had been various ideas about how to celebrate the 100th release of the label. Eventually, every idea about special box-sets or other type of gimmick releases felt artificial. As the labels beginning – NH-001 – was a Clandestine Blaze album, there’s no better way than to make NH-100 be that as well.
Northern Heritage doesn’t want to give an impression that things are over. There isn’t mere nostalgia, commercial gimmicks and other desperate attempts to awaken the interest of listeners. Label operates in a very similar policy as it did in the beginning. Having 100 releases in catalogue without any regrets may be an achievement in itself, but the work continues. New releases are already being planned for 2017. What could be said of 'City Of Slaughter' album? It’s expected that some people will conclude that this album sounds exactly like all albums before, and others will say it sounds completely different from previous works. So different, that it’s not even recognized as being the same band. Truth is obviously somewhere in between. The album is the most aggressive and ferocious Clandestine Blaze album to this day. Guitars return to early days’ maximum-distortion dirt. Vocals include more force and tone than in the old times. Drums hammer with slightly faster pace, and song structures sometimes break free from traditional templates. Lyrically the work is harsh and hostile, yet with plenty of substance to be discovered. Approach of both the label and the band is repulsion towards pathological curiosity for “new”, which completely excludes true interest and wonders of discovery. We have seen gimmicks disguised as development, imitations of new trends disguised as actual ideas. Material for those curious merely for entertainment of new experience. In diametrical opposition truly sinking deep and understanding the experience. Instead of absorbing, seeking to understand and seeking to fully experience and consciously committing to a specific thing, the pathologically curious simply drift in mercy of latest fads. This never leaves any true mark or provokes one to fully commit on something that really has life-altering meaning. We reject drifting in stream of superficial curiosity. We seek to cultivate, dig beyond surface level and be inspired by what was and still is a strong and meaningful source of inspiration. Finally after the release of “Misanthropy” 5 years ago legendary horde Pandemonium is back with the long-awaited new released album 'Nihilist'. The material contains 9 blasphemous psalms, which are a continuation of previous albums and are referring to the ambience known from the iconic “Devilri.” Full length CD consists of 46 minutes of characteristic oldschool, underground, Pandemonium styled death/black metal soaked with disquieting influence of misanthropy, death, darkness, insanity and nihilism. The album was recorded in Mariusz Konieczny Heavy Gear Studio (Hellspawn). The recording session was attended by: Paul (vocals), Mark (vocals, guitar), Michael (bass), Mayor (guitar), Desecrate (drums), and Special Guests: Szymon (Tenebris) – vocals, Gary (Hellspawn) – guitar solos. Album released in a traditional CD case on a golden CD. All copies hand numbered. As longtime fans of the band, HELLS HEADBANGERS is proud to present a special vinyl pressing of ARMOURED ANGEL's Wings of Death demo.
Formed in 1982 and disbanding in 2001, ARMOURED ANGEL were Australia's very first extreme metal band - and for many years, one of its only ones. Originally released in 1989 on cassette tape and then a vinyl edition that's long out of print, Wings of Death was the band's second demo and first to truly nail the signature ARMOURED ANGEL sound: patient, pulsing, and largely mid-tempo death metal rife with nuance and molten power to spare. Although still early days at this point, contemporaries could be likened to Bolt Thrower, Asphyx, and Gorefest, but there's always been a certain clarity of expression to ARMOURED ANGEL that favorably compares to later Amebix; here on Wings of Death especially, their classic death metal uptempos bear a proud 'n' poignant pulse, symptomatic of strong songwriting even at this early stage in the band's storied history. And although they would only release one album - and quite belatedly, at that - it was always the short-length format where ARMOURED ANGEL excelled most. The four-song Wings of Death stands as a testament to this fact, and more so the endearing legacy of one of heavy metal's true cult favorites. Just like HELLS HEADBANGERS' earlier edition of Communion, this pressing is a one-sided 12" with a photo silkscreened on Side B. |
