This album mark the milestone of Northern Heritage label, being catalogue number NH-100. For some years, there had been various ideas about how to celebrate the 100th release of the label. Eventually, every idea about special box-sets or other type of gimmick releases felt artificial. As the labels beginning – NH-001 – was a Clandestine Blaze album, there’s no better way than to make NH-100 be that as well.
Northern Heritage doesn’t want to give an impression that things are over. There isn’t mere nostalgia, commercial gimmicks and other desperate attempts to awaken the interest of listeners. Label operates in a very similar policy as it did in the beginning. Having 100 releases in catalogue without any regrets may be an achievement in itself, but the work continues. New releases are already being planned for 2017. What could be said of 'City Of Slaughter' album? It’s expected that some people will conclude that this album sounds exactly like all albums before, and others will say it sounds completely different from previous works. So different, that it’s not even recognized as being the same band. Truth is obviously somewhere in between. The album is the most aggressive and ferocious Clandestine Blaze album to this day. Guitars return to early days’ maximum-distortion dirt. Vocals include more force and tone than in the old times. Drums hammer with slightly faster pace, and song structures sometimes break free from traditional templates. Lyrically the work is harsh and hostile, yet with plenty of substance to be discovered. Approach of both the label and the band is repulsion towards pathological curiosity for “new”, which completely excludes true interest and wonders of discovery. We have seen gimmicks disguised as development, imitations of new trends disguised as actual ideas. Material for those curious merely for entertainment of new experience. In diametrical opposition truly sinking deep and understanding the experience. Instead of absorbing, seeking to understand and seeking to fully experience and consciously committing to a specific thing, the pathologically curious simply drift in mercy of latest fads. This never leaves any true mark or provokes one to fully commit on something that really has life-altering meaning. We reject drifting in stream of superficial curiosity. We seek to cultivate, dig beyond surface level and be inspired by what was and still is a strong and meaningful source of inspiration. Cultes des Ghoules / Sepulchral Zeal

W.T.C. PRODUCTIONS is proud to announce upcoming the release of INFERNO's highly anticipated seventh album, Gnosis Kardias (Of Transcension and Involution). A work of almost impossible magnitude, INFERNO's latest long-player sees this long-running Czech cult go from strength to strength, daring to dream beyond black metal whilst finding its innermost core, resulting in an opus which both scales feverish heights and plumbs fathomless depths - simultaneously. Simply, it is a work of both boundless beauty and even-more-boundless darkness.
Since the band's conception in 1995, the musical and lyrical aspects of INFERNO have been guided by inner impulses that not many were able to comprehend. Now, after more than 20 years of existence, its members are endowed with such knowledge, experience, and skill that finally allow them to effectively portray the pervading greatness of powers from beyond and within. The heights of the spiritual ecstasy and abyssal depths of the unconscious were the main inspiration from which the musical tones and words came forth. INFERNO's seventh full-length to date, Gnosis Kardias (Of Transcension and Involution) picks up the threads of the crucial previous recording Omniabsence Filled by His Greatness, presenting five new songs and one which concludes and opens the album at the same time. The band made a single step backwards to evaluate and explore the essence responsible for the previous opus in order to create an even stronger and more refined album. Musically, one can expect a natural fusion of genuine black metal and deeply-felt psychedelia. The new songs further explore the pathways presented by Omniabsence Filled by His Greatness, but there are compositions and ideas which could not have been heard before. The scorching aggression and mesmeric calm, darkness and light, straightforwardness and progressive tendencies - all are merged into a single magical whole. Lyrics and music will open many spiritual paths, some leading towards damnation, and others that lead to the long-desired dissolution in the absolute. But some also offer a glimpse into the core of the eternal tragedy, the breaking on the wheel of existence and rebirth, to which all who refuse to open their hearts are condemned. The voice of ACHERONTAS mainman Acherontas V. Priest contributed to the fractal vision of the new album, and Tore Stjerna once again supervised the recording. The visual side of the album was entrusted to Peruvian master Jose Gabriel Alegría Sabogal. However, as one can expect from a true work of art, Gnosis Kardias (Of Transcension and Involution) will go beyond a mere sensory experience. How far do YOU dare to go? Gnosis Kardias (Of Transcension and Involution) is set for release on April 4th, 2017. Tracklist: 1. The Innermost Disillusion 2. Abysmal Cacophony 3. Upheaval of Silence 4. Ω > 1 (Oscillation in Timelessness) 5. Gate-eye of Fractal Spiral 6. Orison for the Baneful Serpent w-t-c.org
W.T.C. Productions have set March 16th as the international release date for Entartung's highly anticipated third album, Baptised into the Faith of Lust. A work of timeless black metal traditionalism given flight by flawless songwriting and emotive execution, Baptised into the Faith of Lust is THE album where Entartung ascend the throne and rule over all they survey, in a kingdom where the genre's aesthetics have become diluted by modernity (or worse) but one which will be righted by their righteous conviction.
Entartung was founded in 2011 by Lykormas and Vulfolaic. As veterans of the old-school black metal scene, they set out to make music true to the original vibe of the genre, void of commercialism and modern trends. The duo skipped the usual demo phase and independently wrote and recorded their debut album, Krypteia. Entartung immediately got signed by W.T.C. Productions, who released Krypteia in the spring of 2012 on compact disc. One year later, Entartung started writing and recording their sophomore album. The internal tensions and conflicts that arose during this process were successfully channeled into violent and aggressive renditions of the actual material. Contrary to the previous album, which exclusively featured German lyrics, Peccata Mortalia predominantly focuses on English as the main language. Peccata Mortalia was again released by World Terror Committee in May 2014, this time on both compact disc and vinyl. Simultaneously, Krypteia also saw a vinyl release. In late 2014, Entartung was invited to play an exclusive show at the 2015 edition of the Veneration of the Dead festival in the Netherlands. For the purpose of this festival, Entartung recruited skinsman Haistulf and started working on a set consisting of both Krypteia and Peccata Mortalia material. Continuing as a three-piece, Entartung then recorded their third album, Baptised into the Faith of Lust, throughout the winter of 2015-2016. The new compositions build further upon the style which was established on both Krypteia and Peccata Mortalia and successfully push the boundaries of the genre, focusing on both feel and detail as well as atmosphere and aggression. Lyrically, Baptised into the Faith of Lust explores the more obscure side of history, religious mass delusions, and the writings of Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Selma Lagerlöf, Charles Baudelaire, and Hermann Löns. Baptised into the Faith of Lust was mixed by Entartung and was subsequently mastered by Patrick W. Engel at Temple of Disharmony. Once again, the band entrusts World Terror Committee with the release of the third Entartung opus, both on compact disc and vinyl. The album's artwork is a twisted and bizarre take on orthodox iconography, further elucidated by its musical/lyrical contents. Become Baptised into the Faith of Lust with Entartung! Tracklist: 1.Resurrectio mortuorum 2.Vices of the Prophet 3.De Sura Frukterna 4.Agni Kravyad 5.Der Werwolf 6.Black Dog of God 7.Hymne à la Beauté w-t-c.org Récits Patriotiques is a rehearsal recorded by Forteresse in October 2016 as they were gearing up to the sixth Messe des Morts Festival, featuring songs from their released albums. The band initially wanted to release this recording on cassette format after the fest, to provide an overview of the energy of their live rituals for those who were never able to hear it in that context, like it had done in 2011 with “Une Nuit pour la Patrie”. In the light of the events that led to the cancellation of the evening the group was supposed to play, we have decided with Forteresse to release this recording in a limited CD edition (750 copies) to give it a larger scope. Despite the fact that this is a rehearsal, and that obviously the sound does not have an album quality, this release will come with a professional layout, with a color cover and an 8-page booklet.
Invictus Productions and Iron Bonehead Productions announce April 7th as the international release date for the massively anticipated debut album of Belgium's Possession, Exorkizein. Invictus will handle the album's CD release while Iron Bonehead will handle its vinyl LP version.
One of the hottest bands in the modern black/death metal underground, Possession's ascent has been rapid but never exacting, and more than rightly earned. Forming in 2012, their debut demo, His Best Deceit - released jointly by Invictus and Iron Bonehead, in 2013 - exploded with excitement, showing an incendiary charisma rarely heard, not to mention a veteran's grasp of engaging songwriting. But for however filthy 'n' furious His Best Deceit was, less than a year later, the band released the Anneliese EP: a catacombed dirge that proved there were yet more haunting depths to this still-young band. Between the two records, Possession's name was already on the tongues of legions worldwide - which is all the more remarkable considering their canon, to that point, consisted of six songs. Alas, in 2015 arrived the 1585-1646 mini-album. The band's longest work to date at 25 minutes, 1585-1646 studiously explored more concerted lyrical themes, marrying the conceptualism of the Anneliese EP to a still-unfolding, still-unholy synthesis of ancient Metal of Death and the pitchest-black metal. It was the band's boldest move to date, teasing their now-rabid fanbase with greater glories to come...and now they have arrived with Exorkizein. Effectively a summation of Possession's powers and prowess they displayed across their first three recordings, Exorkizein is the bold and brazen first-album statement that will fully write the band's name into black/death legendry. Its fury is more feral and unchained than ever, its downshifts into doom more swirling and fatal, and its recording is as rounded and robust as a highly anticipated debut requires. And yet, for however much this is all unmistakably Possession, Exorkizein marks a change in lineup: vocalist Mestema is out of the band and has been replaced by Viriakh, while S.Iblis enters as new bassist. Far from a disabling blow, this lineup shakeup has resulted in a stronger Possession than ever before, brimming with madness and mystery, slavering with sin and ever prepared to strike. The youthful discordance has slightly, subtly given way to an ageless confidence, without one sacrifice of the core ethics of authentic, deeply-felt black/death METAL. More or less written in one year, with no stopping doing gigs, Possession's Exorkizein was recorded once again at Blackout Multimedia with Phorgath (Enthroned, Emptiness). Artwork was also once again created by underground icon Chris Moyen. And Possession once again chose Invictus and Iron Bonehead to release the album because they're "a loyalty-above-all kind of band, and that is part of our identity and strength." Hear the first manifestation of Exorkizein, appropriately titled "Infestation - Manifestation - Possession
W.T.C. Productions sets March 30th as the international release date for Medico Peste's highly anticipated new mini-album, Herzogian Darkness. Ever aptly titled, Herzogian Darkness is a shadowy plunge into strange, shapeshifting depths. It is recognizably black metal by sound and vision - and, more or less, by name - but the febrile sensations these mysterious Poles emit elude safe 'n' staid categorization. Not for nothing do Medico Peste here transform Bauhaus' classic "Stigmata Martyr" into one of their own, idiosyncratic creations.
Medico Peste's history goes back to the winter of 2010, when they formed in Krakow, Poland. A demo followed the next year before their debut album, א: Tremendum et Fascinatio, in 2012. There, Medico Peste portrayed a vision of black metal which incorporates dark and oppressive atmospheres, created through dysharmonic riffing, eerie vocals, and a taste for insanity and the macabre. And yet, the band's sound is always evolving, and while strongly rooted in traditional black metal, Medico Peste inject elements of non-metal genres into their music, vividly painted across their brand-new Herzogian Darkness. Four songs in 27 minutes, these grim, crazed rituals are the newest face to a mask that is cracked but always spinning sinister thoughts, leering with the knowingness that the future's wide open yet infinitely bleak - that a Herzogian Darkness is on the horizon. Format: Digipak-MCD, MLP, Digital Tracklist 1. Herzogian Darkness 2. Hallucinating Warmth and Bliss 3. Le Delire De Negation 4. Stigmata Martyr (Bauhaus cover) www.facebook.com/medicopesteband w-t-c.org On March 31st, three of the finest French black/death metal acts - VI, TEMPLE OF BAAL and THE ORDER OF APOLLYON - will find their way into the winter-chilled turntabel's, thanks to a new split release. Divided into three chapters, the recording will feature one brand new song from each of the bands, with a playing time nearing 25 minutes. The split will be available on Agonia Records. BST (Aosoth, ex-Aborted, The Order Of Apollyon and VI) can be thought as a link between all three band's. Apart from being an active musician, he served as the producer of the upcoming split. With the exception of drums, all instruments were recorded, mixed and mastered at his own BST Studios. Drums were recorded at Hybreed Studios and Studio Vallet, respectively. The new material will see all three bands plunge into their creative potential and will shed some light on what to expect from them in the future. In the words of the band's themselves: "Being a part of this split along with Temple of Baal and The Order Of Apollyon was an opportunity for us to release a new single track. We thought we were done for a while with creating new music since the release of De Praestigiis Angelorum, but it appeared that we still had more to do. Expect something slightly different from what we're known for. Expect something unique" (VI). "Split releases have paved Temple Of Baal’s history through the years as special items in the band’s discography, done with special bands strictly chosen for their common views on Black and Death Metal as sacred works of Left Hand Path dedication. Once more, Temple Of Baal teams up with bearers of the Black Flame to bring a three-fold testimony of Faith" (TEMPLE OF BAAL). "Joining forces with Agonia for a fresh new start for The Order, we deemed appropriate to release something special. We chose to share this one with artists that we respect not only as musicians, but also as genuinely devoted human beings. The song we wrote for this EP is also meant to give you a taste of what's to come on our side in the near future" (THE ORDER OF APOLLYON). VI / TEMPLE OF BAAL / THE ORDER OF APOLLYON
