Whoredom Rife was forged in silence during 2013 and 2014 in the outskirts of Nidaros, Norway. The band was founded by V. Einride and K.R. based on new ideas and old ideas dating back as far as the early nineties.
The idea behind the band is to breathe new life into the art form and lifestyle that they know as True Norwegian Black Metal. Since their debut EP was released at the end of 2016 by the Norwegian label Terratur Possessions, the band has been touring the world as a full band, adding to the fold Wraath (One Tail, Behexen), Bruthor (Perished) and Nosophoros (Mare, Ritual Death). Quickly after the critically acclaimed debut EP a debut LP was released, namely 'Dommedagskvad'. Getting raging reviews from all over, the band kept touring and doing shows up until this day, and with a third release already ready, 'NID - Hymner Av Hat', theres no holding back. The record is filled to the brim with sulphurous, epic Black Metal as come to be expected from Whoredom Rife by this point, yet a more sinister approach than on previous works. Listen to track 4 'Hyllest' at this location; For the third time in a row the band has worked closely with Jose Gabriel Alegría Sabogal and Kontamination Design with the artwork, this time loosely based on local history from their hometown Trondheim, Nidaros, and surrounding areas. More info will come. Expect another exquisite vinyl release!

THE ORDER OF APOLLYON are back with a new single which can be streamed. The band is gearing up to release their third studio album "Moriah" this October 26th via Agonia Records.
Co-founder, guitarist, vocalist and producer, BST, commented: "This third full-length release is without a doubt the most coherent and mature work we've ever put out. The fact that we have had for the first time in the band's history a stable line-up of devoted individuals with similar goals made this possible, and filled the production process with powerful creative energy". THE ORDER OF APOLLYON was formed in 2008 by then Aborted members, guitarist BST (ex-Aosoth, VI) and drummer Dan Wilding (Carcass). Over the course of two studio albums, "The Flesh" (2010) and "The Sword And The Dagger" (2015), the band forged themselves a distinct path through death and black metal soundscapes, that evoke of Behemoth or Mgła, but with and edge towards French black metal in the vein of Aosoth or VI. After a line-up reconfiguration, forced by Wilding's transition to Carcass and conflicting schedules amongst remaining members, the band's French roots gained the upper hand. BST started off new and recruited veterans of his native black metal scene, including members of Temple Of Baal, Hell Militia and Merrimack. The new album "Moriah" is a testament to the new line-up, which introduced stability and evoked deeper levels of teamwork within the band. It is, without a doubt, the most coherent, mature and creative work the band ever put out. "Moriah" was recorded, mixed and mastered at BST Studio, except for drums which were recorded at Studio de Saint-Loup. The cover artwork was created by Vincent Lécuyer.
VANHELGD have announced their latest full-length effort as “Deimos Sanktuarium”, due on 12th October 2018 (CD, Vinyl & Digital).
Now with their fifth album, VANHELGD have further honed their craft with “Deimos Sanktuarium”; a spectacle of heavy-as-hammer guitars immersed in funereal coldness. This is their first album featuring drummer Mathias Westman ( King of Asgard, ex Throne of Heresy) The artwork and layout for “Deimos Sanktuarium” is once again conceptualized and designed by Mattias Frisk. Recorded at Studio Underjord with Joona and mixing and mastering duties by Tore Stjerna at Necromorbus Studio. "Deimos Sanktuarium" features seven tracks of crushing, yet cold OSDM. The album will be out October 12 on LP, CD and digital formats through Dark Descent Records (North America). The album will be available in Europe through Pulverised Records. VANHELGD have launched a stream for "Profaned is the Blood of the Covenant".
In 2016, Death Worship released its tremendous debut, Extermination Mass. That MLP was years in the making—meticulously composed, precisely executed, and painstakingly recorded. Written and conceived by R. Forster (Domini Inferi/Conqueror/Blasphemy) and performed with the assistance of J. Read (Conqueror/Axis of Advance/Revenge) on drums, along with backing vocals by Black Winds from Blasphemy, the six tracks on Extermination Mass served as a reminder of the potency that still remains in extreme metal when left in the capable hands of masters.
Currently, Death Worship are in the process of writing and recording the follow up to Extermination Mass; however, Forster has made clear his intentions with the project and quality will never fall victim to expediency. In the meantime, to slake the underground’s appetite for new Death Worship material, NWN! is releasing the demo version of the Extermination Mass recording. This alternate recording, made in a home studio setting a few months before entering Fiasco Bros. Studio to commit the final version to tape, was only circulated among close associates of the band. Forster’s intention in making these alternate demo tracks was, he says, to establish “a clear and exact focus of what I wanted to achieve.” In particular, Forster wanted to spend time working out the vocal patterns using these demos. Beginning with a base recording with Read on drums and Forster on guitars, he used the tracks as a template to work and re-work the vocals, as well as the guitar leads and overdubs. Listening to the final result, it is apparent that Forster’s methodical approach clearly paid off. This demo contains all six of the Extermination Mass tracks, set in the same order as the MLP, but features more feral performances and coarser production. Indeed, these alternate versions will, for many, be preferable to the final versions presented on the original MLP because they so vividly capture the brutal essence of Forster’s and Read’s assault. When asked why he wanted to formally release these versions of the Extermination Mass recordings, Forster responded: “Demos with productions like this were the norm back in the old analog tape trading days and somehow the 'evil' was expressed better with this type of recording. Something happens with a sound that is too cleaned up. All the darkness is wiped away.” “This recording,” he clarified, “is for the die hard maniacs into more savage sounds.” Completing the presentation of the Extermination Mass Demo is cover artwork painted/created by Calvariam Design (Germany) based on “the Desolator” image from the original Extermination Mass cover. The 3rd split of the alchemical concept magnum opus, this time with Citrinitas theme, thus several references to the Sun / Black Sun in both visual and lyrical aspects.

ALAS! After playing a couple of local gigs, Vancouver/Canada's new Death Metal band REVERSED - featuring members from AUROCH, MITOCHONDRION and SPELL are finally unleashing something to feast your ears on...
With ghoulish bloodlust and frenzied possession, a force below conspires corpse-like under grave dirt and grime. Beneath the bounds of sanity of Canada’s Vancouver cemeteries rises REVERSED. Howls into the void respond to the ancient echoes from a time when extreme metal was a formless mire of unhinged similarity. In death-like trance, all attempts are made to harness this undifferentiated prowess. Leather and lust, fury and filth, speed and savagery, esoteric hair & teeth: This is metal of DEATH! Lurking in obscurity, REVERSED has finally captured and released their take on pitch black mania, death stench putridity, and reckless thrashing abandon with their first demo; “WIDOW RECLUSE”. Contorted cries from the miasma of decay speak of unholy arachnid hauntings, ensanguined animalistic lust, and necrotic dreams from the tomb. The venomous riffs and wretched pounding reach a frenzy that threatens to completely dissolve at any moment, only to be precisely whipped back into neck-snapping form. It is the sound of arcane evil forcibly crawling into your ears! In allegiance with TEMPLE OF MYSTERY and MUERTO EN LA CRUZ, Widow Recluse will be unleashed on the unsuspecting in a limited run of 100 tapes – released on September 18! From the upcoming album "Deathly Nights" on Shadow Kingdom Records. All music and performance by Chad Davis Vocal phrasing in part by Etienne Von Chelleri of CHAINS |
